The Latina Hope Program is designed to facilitate the learning, networking and acting of micro-entrepreneurs who want to start a new micro-business and advance their business idea to a more tangible and profitable point. The program begins with basic workshops on finance, single entry bookkeeping, operational management, marketing and business plan development. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to learn crafts tips on at least two of the following skills: candle making, card making, jewelry making, knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing and alterations, soap making, toy making, and wreath making. Crafts vary by session. The program wishes to reach, talented crafters and all others wishing to establish themselves as entrepreneurs or micro-businesses. Furthermore, Latina Hope aspires to build women’s self-esteem, independence, and strengthen their abilities to develop new skills.
